Be inspired by a champion
Patty Berg: Honor a legendA Round to Remember™ began with the support of Patty "Dynamite" Berg, a pioneer of women's golf and a founding member of the Ladies' Professional Golf Association (LPGA). One of the most loved figures in women's sports, Patty was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2004. Patty founded the LPGA in 1950 and served as the organization's first president. During her golf career, she earned 60 wins and was one of the six inaugural inductees into the LPGA Hall of Fame in 1967. After retiring from the tour, she continued to participate in LPGA events and supported the work of the Alzheimer's Association. In a letter before her death in September 2006, she wrote, "I do so hope the work and the dedication of the Association and its allies soon results in both prevention and a cure for this most debilitating disease."
